Das künstlerische Schaffen wird manchmal auch als spontane, unbewusste Manifestation des Lebens an sich verstanden. Dem Schaffensakt geht hier weder eine bestimmte innere Anschauung noch ein bestimmter Willensakt voraus: Das Neue erscheint als Ergebnis oder Effekt einer reinen, unreflektierten, unbewusst motivierten Handlung. Den Ursprung dieser Handlung kann man in der Natur erkennen oder im Begehren, in der Freudschen Libido, in den Kräften der Sprache oder im Gesetz der inneren Form. In jedem Fall geht es dabei um die Privilegierung besonderer Zustände wie Traum, Ekstase, Leiden oder Freude, die als Ursprung der Kunst angesehen werden.

 

Sometimes artistic creation is understood as a spontaneous, unconscious manifestation of life itself. The creative act is neither preceded by a specific inner contemplation nor a specific act of will: the new appears as the result or effect of a pure, unreflected, unconsciously motivated action. The origin of this action can be found in nature or in desire, in the Freudian libido, in the forces of language or in the laws of perception. In any case, it is about the privileging of special states such as dream, ecstasy, suffering or joy, which are seen as the origin of art.
